Do you need notifications for these kinda things?

i may sound like a pessimist or even ungrateful, i know. i hid my birthdate in facebook to avoid it being notified to all of my facebook friends today. dont get me wrong. i have nothing against birthdays.. it's just weird when you have hundreds of birthday wishes and half of them greeted just because they saw the notification another quarter just knew it was today. birthdays are not that big of a deal for me, i dont mind my friends forgetting them. i just want them to wish it because they remembered. remember me for who i am and for all the things we do together. not because of some notifications. and if u forget my birthday, it's okay.. because i cant even recall your birthday as well =D. birthday wishes? nahh..... a good ol "kau dah tua dowww.." is good enough for me =)
